Otherkin
Honestly, I’m incredibly fascinated. I came across this blog, and although I don’t believe in trans-ethnicity - as it belittles or denies the experiences of the races they appropriate- I do believe in allowing people to identify with whatever (species, mythological creature, object, food, etc.) they want to identify as (as long as it is not harmful to themselves or others).
What happens when people set up terms in order to form identities, and then some people decide to use those terms in extremes? (Such as being an “autistic pangender asexual demiromantic trans-asian cat otherkin”)? I mean, people are literally berating this “being” for what they identify as, when all these anonymous people really want is to be accepted for what they identify as.
